Lacy Ann Needs Your Help
The 2009 Drive was a HUGE success and the Southern Ocean County Animal Shelter was extremely appreciative of the items that were collected. Comments by the volunteers at the shelter as they unloaded the truck included "sweet" or "this is something we really need". It was really amazing to see the look on the volunteers faces as we opened the back of the truck and it's nice to know that there are so many of you out there willing to help.
The work never ends and Lacy Ann has expressed to me that she would like to continue to help the friends she had to leave behind by collecting non monetary donations to be given to the local shelter in Manahawkin, NJ. To that end, we will continue to take donations of needed items as they become available and you can contact us to coordinate a day and time to come and pick them up.
Over the years I have adopted several dogs from various shelters. I have no problem with people who go to breeders or pet stores to get a family pet as the bottom line is that I want all animals to end up in a loving home.
Rose and I adopted Lacy Ann ( seen above ) from a local shelter and anyone who has spent any time with me knows that I spend at least a little bit of time talking about how fond of her we are.
Below is a list of needed items and I will happily pick them up and deliver them to the shelter at any time.
